Lookalike domains in igaming, crypto and fintech
iGaming
A casino name on .net or .bet, or with the words bonus, app, login. A customer opens this domain and lands on a competitor's site or on a copy of your site.
iGaming →Crypto
An exchange name with the words login, trade, app. Or a copy of your mirror's domain. One exchange had its mirror on brand.info, and brandinfo.com was live alongside it. It was the same name without the dot.
Crypto →Fintech
A bank or card name with the words support, verify, pay. These domains host fake customer support that asks people to upload documents.
Fintech →A domain with your name sends customers away, and search does not show it

How we find domains you don't know about
name variations in 15 domain extensions, checked for one brand. 9 of them were live sites. We check typos, similar-looking letters and your name with login, app, bonus
Buttons on review sites
Name checks find only what we thought to check. A domain with the brand's exact name was on .gg, and .gg was not on our list. We found it by clicking a button on a review site
Shared certificate
Sites owned by the same person on the same hosting account sometimes share an SSL certificate. It lists all their domains. This is how we found a lookalike that was not in search results or in our name checks
domains with one exchange's name never appeared in search for that name. With Google alone, you miss half of them

FAQ
Will you find domains that are not in search?
Yes. We check variations of your name in different domain extensions. We look at other domains listed in certificates. And we click buttons on review sites. Each method finds different domains, so we use all three.
Will you call my own domain a fake?
No. Before the first complaint, we get your list of domains, mirrors and sites your SEO agency built. We check the certificate and registration date of unknown domains. We don't file a complaint until you say “not ours”.
What do you do with an empty domain that uses my name?
If the name copies your trademark, we claim the domain through UDRP. This takes about 2 months. Until then, we watch it. As soon as the domain gets a site or email, we take it down with a complaint.
