Domain recovery (UDRP)

We recover domains that use your trademark. We do it through UDRP, a procedure for domain name disputes. The decision comes about 2 months after we file. Meanwhile, we remove the clone on that domain from search results in as little as 3 hours.

Which domains we recover in igaming, crypto and fintech

iGaming

Your name with an extra letter, or with the word “bonus” or “app”. The domain gets visitors who search for your brand. It sends the customer and their deposit to a competitor.

From our scans: one such domain led to another casino. It did not appear in search results for any of the brand's 634 search queries.

Crypto

The name of an exchange or wallet with the word “login”, “app” or “airdrop”. People register such domains in batches. The domains stay empty until someone puts a login page on them.

From our scans: for one exchange, we found a batch of domains with its name. All of them were registered on the same day with the same registrar.

Fintech

The name of a bank or payment card with the word “pay”, “verify” or “support”. A copy of the login page collects your customers' card details and documents. Once we recover the domain, the next copy can't use it.

Recover, suspend or remove from search results

Remove from search results

from 3 h

Google and Bing remove a copy of your site. For this, we need a letter of authorization (LOA): your signed permission for us to act for you. The site keeps working, and the domain stays with its owner.

Suspend

up to 2 weeks

The registrar suspends a phishing domain. No LOA is needed. The domain stays with the same owner.

Recover

~2 months

A WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization) panel orders the transfer, and the registrar moves the domain to you. This way, we recover empty domains too.

We usually use all three routes at once. While the domain name dispute runs, the clone is already out of search results and the phishing domain is suspended. All channels and timelines →

When you can get the domain back

The name is similar to your trademark

It matches your trademark or differs by a typo, an extra word or a similar-looking character. A trademark registered in any country works.

The owner has no rights to this name

The owner is not known by this name and does not use it in good faith. If your brand name is in their registration data, it counts against them, not for them.

The domain is registered and used in bad faith

Both facts are needed. “Bad faith” means dishonest intent. A site that sends customers to a competitor is bad-faith use. So are a fake login page and an empty domain that uses a strong trademark.

>93%

of UDRP decisions go in favor of the trademark owner

You need all three conditions. The panel (the independent experts who decide the case) looks only at the text of the complaint. Complaints lose when they say “the name looks similar” instead of giving proof. So we prove each condition with data: where the button leads, dates, the site's certificate.

The trademark owner files the claim

The LOA comes from the trademark owner

The company named as the trademark owner in the registry signs it. This is not always the company named on the website. At one exchange, the trademark and the site's certificate belonged to two different companies in the group. If two companies hold rights, they file together.

Complaints about behavior need no LOA

We report phishing and fraud on the same domain to the hosting provider and the registrar. We do it on the day you confirm “not ours”. We don't wait for the WIPO decision.

Your list comes first

Before we file, we ask for a list of your own domains. It includes everything your affiliates and your SEO agency registered. UDRP usually does not recover a domain from a former contractor. That is a contract dispute, not cybersquatting (registering your name to profit from it).

What goes into the UDRP complaint

  • brand-plus.pro — registered in 2026, your trademark is older
  • position 1 for “brand” in 15 countries
  • screenshot date

button leads to:

  1. brand-plus.pro
  2. go.trk-xx.com
  3. rival-brand.com

Screenshots before the first email

We take dated screenshots of the page, the search results and the button's path. We do it before we contact anyone. If the owner changes the site after the complaint, it won't help them. The original version is already saved.

We check which is older: the domain or the trademark

We take the domain's registration date from the registry and from web archives. Common lookup services often get it wrong. One of them showed a domain from 2026 as 24 years old. With that date, the case would look lost.

All of the owner's domains in one complaint

If one person owns several domains with your name, we recover them in one case. We prove it is the same owner by a shared certificate, the same affiliate link, similar names and registration dates.

A hidden owner is not a problem

WIPO accepts the complaint even if the owner's name is hidden. After we file, the registrar reveals the name. Then we check if this owner has other domains with your name.

How the case works and how long it takes

StepTime
We collect dated evidence, compare the domain and trademark dates, and prepare the complaintbefore filing
WIPO asks the registrar to lock the domain. After that, no one can transfer it to another owner2 business days
WIPO checks that the complaint meets the formal rules1 day to 1 week
The domain owner (the respondent) replies to the complaint20 days
WIPO appoints the panela few days to 1 week
The panel makes its decision14 days after appointment
The registrar transfers the domain to you10 business days after the decision

In total, it takes about 2 months from filing to decision. What we need from you: a trademark registry extract, the trademark owner's LOA and a list of your domains.

FAQ

Can we recover a domain without a registered trademark?

Yes. UDRP also accepts an unregistered trademark. Then we prove your rights by how well known the name is and how much you use it. We collect this evidence before we file. If the domain hosts a clone or phishing, we also take it down through the registrar and the hosting provider. No trademark is needed for that.

The domain is empty. Can we recover it?

Yes, if your trademark is strong and there can be no good-faith use for this name. If your brand name is made of common words, one empty domain is not enough.

Can we appeal the decision?

No. UDRP has no appeal. In most cases, you can't file again. So we put all the evidence into the complaint from the start.

Is there a faster route, like URS?

Yes, but it rarely fits. URS (Uniform Rapid Suspension) works for new domain extensions and a few older ones, but not for .com or .net. It only suspends the domain. When the registration period ends, anyone can take the domain.

Does UDRP award damages?

No. UDRP transfers or cancels the domain. It does not award money.
