Parasite pages & hacked sites
Parasite SEO means pages with your name on open platforms and hacked sites, including government sites. These pages take the search traffic for your name. We remove them from search results in as little as 3 hours.

Parasite pages in igaming, crypto and fintech
iGaming
A shoe store's site shows Google a 71 KB casino review with the brand name. People get “access denied”. For another brand, we confirmed cloaking on 11 government and university sites. Cloaking means a site shows Google one page and people another.
Crypto
Referral spam on code repositories, note-taking services, research platforms and other companies' help centers. For one exchange, this was 12% of all findings in search results: 2,436 of 19,775.
Fintech
Ads that sell verified accounts on document and video platforms. This is a way around KYC (identity checks). For a regulated business, this is a regulatory risk, not only lost traffic.
One exchange had 15 such sites and 150 findings in search results.
Google sees a page about you, and your customer sees a normal government site

The size of the response does not matter. What matters is the content. A person got the normal site, and Google got a page with your name. Sometimes people see an empty page or the normal site. But the page appears in search results for your name. This is not “clean”. It is a sign of cloaking.
How we find them
We check all search results
A parasite page rarely leads anywhere with a button. So a click does not find it, but a review of search results does. We check open platforms and government and university sites.
“Reviews” and “scam” searches
We found four hacked small business sites only through such searches. We check these searches, even though half of them turn up nothing.
We compare the page with the home page
A page with your name does not look like the home page of its site. This is how we found 19 planted pages for one brand, out of 42 candidates we checked by hand.
We open the page as Google and as a customer
We checked 16 hacked government and university sites in nine countries. We confirmed cloaking on three of them. Two sites did not open, so they are “not checked”, not “clean”. Across 33 brands, we confirmed cloaking on 71 of 304 government and university sites. Hacked government sites → · Decloaking →
Parasite or legitimate page
It is deception when Google sees more
A parasite page shows Google your name and shows people something else. If a site just blocks bots, this is protection, not deception. We don't touch such sites.
Words on a page are not proof
The word “jackpot” belongs on a state lottery site, because it runs a legal game. We decide based on what the site shows Google and people, not on the words.
We won't touch your content
Your SEO agency publishes content on the same platforms. Before we start, we get a list of this content. This way we don't file a complaint against your own content.
One toolkit, many sites
One URL path
The same URL path for planted pages was on two government sites in one country. It was also on three subdomains of a university in another country. One set of tools works against different organizations.
One pattern for different brands
We found hacked government and university sites for a crypto brand and for an igaming brand. When we find this pattern for one brand, we check the other brands for it.
One batch of certificates
Seven sites behind profiles on a review platform got their certificates within seven minutes, on the same IP address. This means one owner, not shared hosting.
How we take them down
Google search results
median time from complaint to removal of the URL from search results. The site and the platform keep working
Letter of authorization (LOA): yes
Owner and hosting provider of the hacked site
the person who runs the site removes the planted page
LOA: no, this is a report about a hack
Open platform
a code repository, note-taking service or help center removes the page in its own way
LOA: yes, for a copyright complaint
We take down the page with your name and, if needed, the whole domain. If the content is legitimate, we push it lower in search results with your own sites. This is search engine reputation management (SERM). SERM Protection → · All channels and timelines →

FAQ
Can you take down a page on someone else's hacked site?
Yes. The domain stays with its owner, but we remove the page. We remove it from Google search by its URL and through the owner and hosting provider of the site. The government or university site itself keeps working.
The page opens empty. Has it already been removed?
Not necessarily. First we check what the site shows Google. On a hacked site, an empty page for people is a sign of cloaking. At the same time, Google gets a page with your name.
Can you remove a page if the platform does not answer the complaint?
Yes, from Google search by its URL. People will no longer find it when they search for your name, but it stays on the platform. If there are no grounds for a complaint, we push the page lower in search results with your own content.
Do you need an LOA?
Yes, for a complaint to Google and for a copyright complaint to a platform. We notify the owner and hosting provider of a hacked site without an LOA. This is a report about a hack.
