Fake accounts
A fake account pretends to be your brand or your executive on social media: fake support, giveaways, “official” pages. We take it down with an impersonation complaint to the platform itself. It takes 24 hours or more.
Free. Delivered within 1 business day.
What a fake account looks like in igaming, crypto and fintech
iGaming
An “official” casino page gives out bonuses and promo codes. Then it sends players to a clone or to someone else's casino.
iGaming →Crypto
Fake token giveaways in the project's name. Copies of the founders' profiles. “Support” in the comments that asks for the seed phrase.
Crypto →Fintech
A bank “support” account replies to customers in the comments. Then it moves them to direct messages to get their card details.
Fintech →How we find fake accounts
Social Monitoring
Together with your brand mentions, we spot accounts that pretend to be you. Then we pass them to this service for takedown. Social Monitoring →
Name, handle, executives
On each platform, we search for your name, versions of your handle (@name) and the names of your executives. We also search with typos and with the words support, official, help.
Search results for your name
Some social media profiles appear in Google search results for your name. Our search scan puts them in a separate list.
Fake or your own account
First, your list
Before the first complaint, we get a list of your official accounts on each platform and in each country. We also get the accounts of affiliates and employees who are allowed to speak for the brand. We don't touch them.
How we take them down
Brand account
an impersonation complaint in the platform's own form: the platform removes the account
Letter of authorization (LOA): yes
Executive profile
In their name
the platform checks that the complaint comes from the person or from someone they asked to act for them. The timeline is the same as for a brand account
LOA: yes, from the executive
Site behind the link in the profile
We take down the site too
we follow the link to the site where it ends up. If there is phishing behind it, we take it down through the hosting provider and registrar, in 24 hours or more · Phishing →
LOA: no, it's a phishing complaint
Where we take them down
Facebook · Instagram · X · TikTok · YouTube · LinkedIn
FAQ
Do you take down fake executive accounts?
Yes. We file the complaint about a copy of an executive's profile in that person's name. The platform needs an LOA or proof that the person asked us to do it.
Do you need a letter of authorization from us?
Yes, for a complaint to a social network: the platform accepts it from the brand or its representative. If the account leads to a phishing site, we take that site down without an LOA.
